Fashion affiliate programs seem too good to be true. You’re telling me that every time somebody purchases some sustainable underwear or hemp pants that I recommended, I’d get a kickback. But they’re real! And the best part? They’re super easy to join! Just sign up for the program, get your unique link and share it with your followers! Then, every time someone uses your link to make a purchase, you’ll earn a commission.
There’s so many different clothing affiliate programs nowadays and they are not all created equally. If you run any sustainable fashion blogs or care about the environment in any way, then you know that fast fashion is destroying our planet.
A lot of affiliate programs for fashion bloggers are from brands with some pretty sketchy business and labor practices. Not exactly what you want to be recommending. Plus, most of those programs offer measly rates like 2% commission. Sacrificing your ethics just to get paid a few cents here and there? Talk about not worth it!
Instead, read below for 17 fashion affiliate programs from sustainable brands that pay well! Now that’s what I’m talking about!
WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN AN AFFILIATE PROGRAM
Before we get into specific fashion affiliate programs that I’ve found for you, let’s discuss what to look for in one in the first place. That way, if you stumble across one that’s not on this list, you’re able to suss it out for yourself!!
Here’s a few things to look into before signing up for an affiliate program:
- Does the business have a good reputation? It’s important to know the reputation of a business you’re partnering with before you sign up. Research their sustainability and labor practices to make sure they’re up to your standards. And check the news for any scandals!
- Can you actually recommend the product? It may seem harmless to recommend a product or brand that you haven’t tested. But if you have an audience online, it’s important to be authentic and trustworthy, right? So only sign up for programs that you can vouch for.
- Does the business fit your niche? If you’re looking for affiliate programs for fashion bloggers, you’re probably not going to start recommending car maintenance products. Make sure the program fits into your niche. Now, if you want to start a fashion and engine repair blog on the other hand…I’d read it.
- Will you be compensated fairly? A commission of about 5-10% or higher is plenty fair for all parties involved. Any other perks are just cherries on top!
- What’s the cookie duration? As much as it pains me, we’re not talking about chocolate chip-type cookies. Instead, the cookie duration means how long after a customer clicks your link they have to buy something for you to earn a commission. Most are 30 days. This means that if a customer clicks your link and 29 days later purchases something on that site, you’ll earn your commission.
That should do it! Of course, you’ll want to look through the terms and conditions before fully signing on the dotted line.
