The fitting guide was perfect: these are an excellent fit. I like the feel, and the cut is just right: not too high or low. They hold "things" securely without any pinching or rubbing. Haven't had them long enough to evaluate how long they will last. But, so far, I'm quite pleased.
The actual style seems to be a full-rise brief, even though it looks more like a sports brief on the model. I don't wear full-rise briefs because I don't find them comfortable due to the cut using so much material. The briefs also look like they have a pouch in the photos, which is a feature I look for in briefs because they are roomier and actually comfortable. The briefs do NOT have a pouch. On the plus side, the material is actually very comfortable but if the briefs don't fit right, that doesn't mean very much.
Hemp is so great for the environment and the fibers make excellent briefs. I ordered the large size my waist is 36", the seams are not bulky around my package, the waistband is kind of on the small side though you can't really tell or being uncomfortable. They are lightweight & basically a great fit
I love the way they look and feel. I love the way they fit, except for one thing: the waist band is far more resistant than need be. My privates may be pleased, but, after a few hours, my guts are grieved. The kindest band that’s ever bound my waist is that of the Hanes „our most comfortable“ underwear. If the ideal waistband is like a standard rubber band from, say, a rubber band ball or a rolled up newspaper, the wama band is like the rubber band holding together tough leafy greens like kale and broccoli.
I received the three briefs I ordered in good time. They fit nicely, got the correct size. My project is to use them on long mountaineering days, that is, working hard on the feet and legs for 5-10 hours of sweaty uphill work. I'll see how they perform in comparison with various nylon/polyester/spandex blends I've been using. I will let you know sometime after this season.
They are comfortable and not bulky. They keep my unmentionables from announcing their presence without the need to reposition things. The seams are very flat so no discomfort on my bike. The sustainability and expected durability make these well worth the extra cost over cheaper alternatives.
They definitely stay fresh-feeling longer than pure cotton underwear. For me, more like 30hrs vs 20. Wash before wearing, they're slightly itchy before the first wash, and get softer every time. Definitely a step up in quality, haven't yet decided if they're worth the 2-3x price increase, depends how long they last.
I would give 5 stars, except:
- Haven't owned long enough to comment on durability (and thus, value).
- Leg holes don't fit 100% right, they are slightly too large for me so they tend to ride up just the tiniest amount.
First time I got the wrong size, customer support was helpful and return/exchange process was hassle-free.
Loving my new undies. Sustainable fabric, super comfy, breathable, and fit really well. If you're a lil' juicy in the trunk, they might feel a little snug but I personally like 'em that way. Give that booty a boost!
They fit my body well and have the right durability, breathability, and stretch. Loved the one I bought as a trial a while ago, and now bought a pack.
