These were a gift. Bought one to try for my partner and a whole pack as a follow up. They look great and are natural fibers. Normally anything but cotton causes a reaction with this person but these are fine. The spandex normally is a problem but it seems to be encased or covered at least with the other fabric to not cause an issue.
I purchased a 3-pack of the briefs and I just put on the first one. Very comfortable but a bit tight in the upper legs around the crotch, although I haven't worn briefs in a while. Definitely order up one size as suggested. I bought these to act more sustainably; we will see how well they hold up.
I've been in the sustainable fashion industry for a bit now and I am always happy to support brands making an impact! These are incredibly soft, like really really soft. No joke! I got a boxer brief, trunk, and briefs to see how they all fit and feel. Well, except for Boxers because I don't like long underwear lol. Anyways, all styles didn't disappoint, wedgie-free indeed, and they hug nice and comfortable to your skin!
To start, the fabric these are made from is super soft and comfortable yet still supportive.
I’m happy to have found a brand that is sustainable, eco friendly & doesn’t irritate my skin as I do have very sensitive skin. I was a little worried about sizing as I’ve gained a few pounds recently but the medium size fit perfectly for me and I wear 30-32 waist. WAMA makes me feel confident and guilt free definitely will be sticking to these. Couldn’t be happier.
For the price I would suggest the following: 1. The fabric should be 100% organic and not contain any spandex. Top of the line fabric should not need the “stretch” feature provided by spandex. 2. WaMa should use USA sizing. I had to ask for a replacement due to the sizing differences with USA. 3. The leg openings need to be strengthened. Other than these issues the briefs were well made but missed the mark based on the price point.
I tried these because I'm trying to make my wardrobe more sustainable and be more conscious of how responsible the companies are that make my clothes. So hemp underwear made in fair wage factories checks both boxes for me. I have only worn them a few times so far so I can't vouch for long term durability just yet but they are super comfy and breathable, though not as quick drying as say a polyester athletic material, but much better than pure cotton (either way probably better for me and the planet). Minimal wedgies, too. I found the size chart accurate so make sure you size up at least one size from your regular size. Looking forward to replacing my old underwear with these as needed!
I love this fabric; I prefer it to Mack Weldon's. We'll see how long the elasticity of the waist band, and the fabric, hold up over time; will it be enough to justify the high cost relative to the kind of stuff you can find at department stores? We'll see. My only regret with the WAMA briefs is I wish they had a fly.
Soft and comfy - just a wee bit small. I ordered a size up for good results. Would buy more.
Outstanding product that washes perfectly with my woolens, and that slight inconvenience is well worth it. Green organic folks also tend to favor natural wool, over synthetics. A local seamstress here also uses hemp cloth, and has produced two of my wife's favorite tops out of it. But most importantly my wife approves of my new green organic cotton and hemp briefs. She's the one who has to look at 'em.
Put a flap on these panties! They are men's underwear. Not women's panties!
