These are nice underwear and overall I'm fairly satisfied! :) I sized up per the reviews and am glad I did. I am a US 14 and chose the 2XL. They're a little loose around the leg holes and the fabric in the front can get a little bunchy as it has more coverage than I technically need, but they are very comfortable. I chose one of each color and was pleasantly surprised that the green and hemp both complemented my skin tone (I'm fair with pink and yellow undertones, leaning more toward yellow; it's a royal pain to find colors that don't wash me out). The green is my favorite of the three. Oddly enough I felt that the black pair fit a little more snugly than the other two colors, but it might have just been a random occurence.
Normally I avoid thicker elastic waistbands, but these don't bother me at all; no digging or pinching which is fabulous, haha. One con is that the waistband does roll over in the front because of how high it comes up. Not excessively, but as a mother of four under four I'm not an underwear model and I have some belly to contend with, haha (I wear my underwear under my belly, those who wear it higher might have more trouble with them staying up and it not rolling down (at least in the front) or with how the waistband sits on their stomach.)
I wasn't sure at first that I had chosen the right cut for my shape, so I reached out to customer service to see about trying one pair in the bikini style. They were patient and attentive, and took care of my request promptly.
To compare the two cuts, they both fit comfortably and thankfully stay up on my behind, haha (nothing so irritating as underwear that's constantly sliding down). Even though the bikini style has less coverage in the front than the hipster the waistband still unfortunately rolls over on me, but that's not to say it would do that for everyone. Wedgie-wise, the hipsters stay put a bit better than the bikini and don't ride up as much, but I found the bikini fit a bit looser on my backside so it might just be a matter of more fabric moving around. Both are decently cheeky, but I imagine that can depend on whether you size up, too. As a side note, if you care about underwear lines then you might not like these because they will show through.
I noticed the material in the bikini style felt noticeably thinner than the hipsters so I sent in an inquiry. In case anyone else is wondering, they make new batches of underwear about three times a year. They received a shipment of fabric that ran thinner than usual, and it's being looked into. Hopefully my next pairs will be back up to the thicker material. (P.s. I feel like that might be affecting the difference in fit between the two.)
They appear to wash well, still determining whether the fabric is getting softer or not, but they don't bother my skin either way.
To conclude, I would repurchase both styles. My husband likes the bikini cut a little better on me (it's cheekier, come on haha) but I am happy with both. For all the review junkies, I hope this helps, haha! ;)
